Wolfhouse, Newburgh
Philip Johnson designed this house in 1949, the same year he finished the Glass House. It sits on a hillside above the Hudson, walls of plate glass open to the river and the bridge beyond.
Ruth Wolf commissioned it so she could watch the seasons turn and the ships move up the river. It still works exactly the same way.
